STUDENT ACCEPTANCE PACKET
Your IUS Acceptance Packet contains the following:
- A booklet for students, Everything You Wanted to Know About
Studying Abroad ... But Forgot to Ask! This handy resource provides many useful tips and should answer most of your questions.
- A copy of an Indemnity Agreement for
your review. We must receive this form in order to assign your
housing.
- Course registration forms for IUS courses.
- A Language Exemption form to fill out and return with your advisor's signature only if you are not registering for a language class.
- A Special Course Load Permission form to fill out and return with your advisor's signature only if you are registering for more than five or fewer than three courses.
We must receive these forms in order to register you for the classes you plan to take. If your courses at IUS are pre-approved by your school's study abroad office, your packet will not contain these forms.
- A Special Study Project approval form to fill out and return with your advisor's signature if you wish to pursue a special study interest outside the IUS curriculum. Please submit this form at least 45 days before the start of the semester. (Special Study Projects are an option only during the fall and spring semesters).

Your parents' Acceptance Packet contains the following:
- A booklet for parents, Everything You Wanted to Know About Students Studying Abroad...But Forgot to Ask!
- A travel reservation form to complete and return to the Philadelphia travel agency. This form must be filled out and returned, no matter how you plan to travel.
- An Indemnity Agreement that you and your parents must sign and return to us in order for you to attend IUS. By signing this form, you and your parents agree not to hold IUS responsible for anything that may happen to you due to things beyond our control, such as weather, or your own possible poor judgment. We must have this form in order for you to attend IUS.
- An invoice for a $350 tuition deposit. Even if you receive financial aid or are billed for the IUS tuition by your home institution, this deposit must be paid directly to IUS. Payment is due on receipt. We must have this deposit in order for you to register for classes.
